Exclusive Web Single: Bolywool- "The Dial"
This debuts our exclusive web single series. What better way to start than with an epic song from TDOA fave, Bolywool. Featured earlier this year , we were thrilled when the band agreed to help us debut this series. Here is a quick description of the genesis of the song, from the band: “We basically started out with just a few tones and a drum loop. We wanted to make something epic, like a soundtrack to a documentary on National Geographic and yet with a lo-fi aesthetic feel to it. It was recorded at various locations (i.e. our cramped flats) in Stockholm during the drizzliest time of year and this certainly gave a feel to the song. The title and the lyrics were inspired by the transcendentalist journal The Dial. “dial your own eternity”… might have been Emerson. Anyway, it’s just a really beautiful stanza oozing with the the sense of something epic…”
